I have been teaching watercolor for 5+ years and taught over 350 watercolor projects. For this book, I tried to condense all of that amazing information down into the projects that I think does the best job at teaching specific techniques! There are four sections in this book, each one focusing on skill level, techniques, and supplies. I want to give you bite-size information so then you can build up your understanding naturally and get to the REAL learning, actually painting.

  • Section One: For Those Just Starting Out

    This section covers what someone needs to know in order to get started! Shape, wet-on-wet technique, and primary colors. Five beginner friendly projects are paired to highlight what we learn!

  • Section Two: Building Confidence and Skills

    This section is for Beginners, Experienced Beginner, or newly intermediate and it goes over how to build form through value! Each project we focus on in this section focuses on how to create a more dimensional painting!

  • Section Three: Finessing and Enhancing

    For the Intermediate or Advanced student, these projects focus on taking what we have learned so far, and how to enhance it through analogous colors, details, and backgrounds.

  • Section Four: Finding Your Style

    This section will included a variety of styles as you go over exercises and tips on creating your very own style!
